Annual International Conference of Young Specialists “Gagarin’s Readings” April 9-13, 2013.The conference is targeted to discuss the results of scientific research of the students, post-graduate students, young specialist from the industrial in the field of aerospace engineering.
The official MATI delegation consisting of Dean of International Faculty Dr. S. Silantiev and Professor A. Volkhonsky visited Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology (KNTU), Iran for the period from February 28th till March 6th. They met with leadership of Aerospace Faculty and discussed the actual problems on mutual cooperation. Our universities are realizing joint educational BSc program in the field of aviation technology. Both sides approved the results achieved and coordinated the further activity.
MATI continue cooperation with University College London (UCL) in the field of science and education. In October this year Vice Rector MATI A.S. Grabilnikov and Professor Gordon Blunn, UCL Institute of Orthopaedics & Musculoskeletal Science signed a Memorandum of Understanding with to include the development and application of novel special purpose Titanium/Nickel Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs) which have unique properties and can be applied to the solution of a number of different engineering problems including in the medical engineering field.
According to the agreement between all participants of the mutual collaboration program : MATI-form Russian side, UCL and Kingston University-from the British side as well as TU Delft-from the Dutch side the main activity in the year 2013 will be organizing of joint international conference which will take place in the MATI during the period from June 10th till June 11th. Corresponding bit was submitted for Exploratory Grants Scheme in the British Council.
Long-term, fruitful cooperation in science and education connects MATI and a numbers of Chinese Universities. Among them are Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China University of Petroleum, Northeastern University and etc. In October 2012, NUAA celebrated of the 60th anniversary. The delegation of MATI took part in this celebration. During this visit to NUAA our professors met Chinese colleagues, made a presentation and discussed the possibilities of new joint projects.
